I love summer! I'm taking another 3 day weekend..... probably the last one of summer. Katelyn, Denise and I are heading up 395 tonight to go through Mojave, Owens Valley, Bishop, Mono Lake, and Bodie then back through the Tioga Pass to Yosemite Valley on friday. Bodie's an an old silver mining town, ghost town that is at the end of a narrow dirt road about 12 miles off 395; Mono Lake is an oasis is the great dry basin for millions of migratory birds; Tioga Pass is beautiful and the "back way" into Yosemite past Tenaya Lake, Tuolumne Meadows, and Lembert Dome. Saturday, we will hike up to Glacier Point and then come down the Panorama trail past 3 waterfalls. Sunday we head home.
This morning on my way to work I spotted my sister jogging with her dog. I didn't realize it was her and thought I wish that was me.... enjoying the morning, running with my dog (that I don't have) and free the rest of the day (so, ok, she's not "free" she's got 3 kids), but I hate being couped up in an office when the suns shinning outside! Tomorrow I'll be outside, exploring!
